What the download article tells you to do

Request Memories at accounts.snapchat.com → My Data, with Export your Memories on. Snap’s download article says the file arrives as a ZIP, that a computer is a better place to download it than a phone, and that another browser is the next try if that download is still stuck.

The same article says they strive to deliver data within 7 days, and that large downloads can take longer. It does not say the 72-hour sentence, and it does not say a second request moves the first one up. How long My Data takes is that wait, once Snap has accepted the request.

The 72-hour line Snap does publish

On My account settings aren’t working, Snap says that if you are asked to wait 72 hours before trying to delete your account again, do that from the same device. That paragraph is about account deletion. It is the Help Center line that pairs “72 hours” with “the same device.” It is not a Memories-export recipe, and this site cannot apply it for you.

When a ZIP is already on the computer

The restriction ends at Snap’s door. A ZIP you already saved is a different job: the files are dated with the export day, and the capture time sits in memories_history.json. Download Snapchat Memories with date and metadata is that write. Memories not downloading is the page for a missing email, a tiny file, or a ZIP that will not open.
