Snapchat My Data, then this ZIP fixer

Help Center copy is “Click My Data. Toggle Export your Memories. Request.” That is hop one. Searchers bounce because the files they get do not behave like a camera roll. Hop two is here.

What to toggle

Download links inside older JSON expire about a week after the export. If you already downloaded the media ZIPs, you do not need those links anymore.

Export your Memories — the media.
JSON files — memories_history.json with Date, Media Type, Location, Download Link.
Skip Chat media unless you also want that separate pile (this tool ignores chat_media/ on purpose).

2026 bundled media vs link JSON

Newer exports already contain -main / -overlay files and show N/A in the download column. Older ones are a JSON of URLs. Either way, dates in the files are still the export day until something writes EXIF.
